Tom Stone was nominated for the Special Award for Theory & Philosophy at FISM 2012, and for the Special Award for Creativity and Artistic Vision at FISM 2015. In 2016, the Academy of Magical Arts in Hollywood awarded him the Creative Fellowship. He has consulted for movies, TV and theater, and been the Head teacher at an officially accredited university course in magic. You too can get personal direction and feedback from Tom Stone, if you provide him with:
- A video of your work. Acceptable formats: Unlisted youtube clip or a link to cloud storage like Dropbox or Google Drive. Do not send a file by email.
- The video should resemble a performance, even if it is shot with a cellphone in your kitchen. Show rather than describe.
- If there are unfinished parts, do them in pantomime with dummy props or imaginary props, or just say “skip” and go on to the next part.
In return, within three days, you will get a written text filled to the brim with suggestions and advise, marked with the time-code of what part in the video each advice relates to.
